As part of the Epidaurus Festival, Stefania directed this original production, bringing Dimitris Hatzis’s short story The Murder of Izabella Molnár to the stage. Τhe ideas that gave rise to this original production were the need for Art in the life of the “well-ordered” spectator; their encounter with an irrational, chaotic world where every instinct finds its legitimacy; the relationship between the artist and their creation; and the very mystery of sculpture and its materials.
Sculpture is not merely the subject of the performance; it becomes the central protagonist on stage.
Here, clay is not merely a stage prop; it is a living body. The sculptures undergo continuous transformation, revealing the delicate—and often painful—relationship between the creator, the creation, and the observer.

On the occasion of the myth of Eumenides, we created a performance at the Ancient Stadium of Epidaurus in order to sound this myth in a landscape that will activate the myth in ourselves. Stefania surrounded by this story she seeks to manage her unknown and unexplainable tracks and experiences and her relationship with primary fear, she looked for the right sound to reduce our unresolved distance to the myth. At 6:00 in the morning, at the ancient stadium of Epidaurus, when the landscape is in its purest moment, in front of us, she articulated the story, or prayer, and she took us into its moving, dark, energy. She and her musician joined in the difficult task of telling the whole project with all the faces sounding through a body and an instrument. Speech, sound,time and landscape are part of an experience of metamorphosis.

Without aspirations of being a director, but with experimental mood, Stefania tries a way of interpreting in which the actor acts as a simple median between the play and the audience. She chooses Eumenides because, as she says, it is a play that is neglected and rich, but also with a great psychoanalytic interest. She interprets all the parts and gets great critics because of which she is then asked by the Epidaurus Festival to reproduce the project in the Ancient Stadium of Epidaurus in 2018.
