“The House by the River” is an 88-episode drama series by Alpha TV, based on Lena Manta’s successful novel of the same title. The story follows the lives of five sisters — Melissanthi, Ioulia, Aspasia, Polyxeni, and Magdalini — who leave their family home and their mother, Theodora, in pursuit of their dreams. Eventually, they return to the place they once left behind, carrying their own losses, wounds, and life experiences.
